A strange line of code displayed under each member's Facebook name since the morning of December 9 is causing confusion among many social network users in Vietnam, fearing they may be hacked.

According to the sharing of many Facebook users in Vietnam, a strange line of code (programming code) is displayed in all posts of many members, right in the usual position of information about the date and time of posting the article, below the poster's name.

Tuoi Tre Online noted that this phenomenon only occurs with many Facebook users using a browser on a computer, while the application still displays the date and time completely normally.

When I tried clicking on this strange line of code, the link that opened was a new window displaying the author's own article right below the link, with no other unusual content.

However, many users who encounter this phenomenon are still concerned that their Facebook account may have been or is being attacked, which is why the error occurs.

Many other users are also confused about Facebook's strange error, especially worried about the safety and security of their accounts.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , expert Dang Huu Son, CEO of LovinBot AI Company, said that the phenomenon of strange strings of codes appearing instead of dates and times on some Facebook posts when accessed via a web browser may stem from a temporary error in the coding string.

“Normally, these strings will be decoded by the server and displayed as familiar dates and times. However, in some cases, due to data loading or browser conflicts, the system cannot convert the code string into the correct date and time format in time,” Mr. Son analyzed.

“This phenomenon is quite annoying for users, but does not affect security or the overall experience, and users do not need to worry,” said Mr. Son.
