This morning, gold price at SJC increased slightly compared to yesterday afternoon.

From about 6:40 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., the gold price at SJC stores was VND86.5 million/tael for buying and VND90 million/tael for selling. This price increased by VND100,000/tael compared to the closing price on the afternoon of February 6. The gold ring price was VND86.4 million/tael for buying and VND89.6 million/tael for selling.

At 9am, the buying price of gold bars increased slightly to 86.8 million VND/tael, selling price was 90.3 million VND/tael. Gold rings were bought at 86.7 million VND, selling price was 89.8 million VND/tael.

At gold and silver shops in the city, customers are also scattered. However, at Mi Hong shop (Binh Thanh district), customers coming to buy gold are quite crowded and bustling. At many times, customers coming to buy gold have to wait in line.

According to the manager of Mi Hong store, the unit has sold out of small gold bars of 1, 2, 5 chi, only SJC bars of 1 tael remain. As for gold rings, the store has all types from 3 phan, 5 phan, 1, 2, 5... chi and there is no limit on the quantity purchased.

SJC gold price listed at Mi Hong at 7:30 am was bought at 86.6 million VND/tael, sold at 88.6 million VND/tael. Gold rings were bought at 86.5 million VND/tael and sold at the same price as gold bars, at 88.6 million VND/tael.

It is known that on the day of God of Wealth, the number of customers buying gold rings and gold bars at Mi Hong is more than buying jewelry. Most customers come to buy gold to pray for luck at the beginning of the year.

This year, gold prices have had strange developments before God of Wealth Day. After Tet, gold prices increased for 3 consecutive days with a total increase of nearly 3 million VND per tael. On the 9th day of Tet, gold prices suddenly turned around and dropped sharply.

At the end of February 6 (the 9th day of the Lunar New Year), Saigon Jewelry Company listed SJC gold bars at VND89.6 million/tael, equivalent to a decrease of VND1.4 million/tael. On the buying side, the price of SJC gold bars also decreased accordingly, to only VND86.4 million/tael.

For the selling price of 9999 gold rings, it decreased by 1.1 million VND/tael to 89.4 million VND/tael. The buying price decreased from 88 million VND/tael to 86.4 million VND/tael.

Other large gold and gemstone enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City also made corresponding adjustments. In particular, the selling price of SJC gold bars at Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company also decreased from VND91 million/tael to VND89.6 million/tael. The buying price was VND86.4 million/tael.
