Musician Thanh Tung has more than just love songs.

That was the time when he worked in music as a conductor and composer of the Voice of Vietnam Orchestra and Ho Chi Minh City Television in the 1970s.

Ms. Nguyen Bach Duong, representative of the musician's family, told Tuoi Tre that the concert taking place on September 15 at Ho Guom Theater ( Hanoi ) will open a series of projects including music, documentaries, vinyl records and books about musician Thanh Tung.

According to music director, musician Tran Manh Hung, musician Thanh Tung is well-trained in instrumental music.

He wrote film music, instrumental music, and arranged many light music works, even red music in the form of classical crossover (a combination of a symphony orchestra with an electronic band) in the 1970s.

Previously, some of his songs have been arranged, transcribed and performed in this format in a number of art programs; but this is the first time there has been a separate program for the musician.

When listening back to the recordings made by musician Thanh Tung during that period, musician Tran Manh Hung realized that he "went further than his contemporaries", and "what was heard before, what people said about him was not the same as those recordings".

With Legacy of Love , the public has the opportunity to approach more fully the legacy of this talented musician. In this concert, there will be many songs played in an instrumental style, the audience will "sing" Thanh Tung's music in their hearts.

Accompanying musician Tran Manh Hung are French conductor Olivier Ochanine, the Sun Symphony Orchestra and Son Thach band. The orchestra and band consist of nearly 70 people.

The program features the trumpet of artist Quyen Thien Dac, Taiwanese pianist Liao Hsin - Chiao, cellist Phan Do Phuc... and three lyrical singers Lan Nha, Uyen Linh, Nguyen Ngoc Anh.
