On June 12, through an administrative inspection at a house on Lac Long Quan Street (Tan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department and Tan Hoa Ward Police discovered and caught Nguyen Quoc Trung (born in 1991) red-handed for storing and trading marijuana and cocaine.

Through initial investigation, Nguyen Quoc Trung confessed to buying and selling marijuana and cocaine via social networks Telegram/Signal, using many intermediary bank accounts for payment.

Through investigation, the police discovered the subjects involved were Phung Vinh Lam (delivery), Nguyen Duc Trung (buying and reselling), Bui Cong Thinh (delivering goods to "Uncle Teu"), and Cao Thanh Xuan Thao (using marijuana).

Expanding the investigation into this ring, on the evening of June 23, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department continued to discover that Tran Phu Long (born in 1989) and Nguyen Cong Tri (born in 1978, known as a famous fashion designer) were involved in organizing the illegal use of drugs at their private home in Tan Hung ward.

When checking Tri and Long’s residence, the police discovered many suspicious objects such as ceramic plates, rolled up bills, and plastic cards. The subjects confessed that these were tools for drug use.

Ho Chi Minh City Police are completing procedures and documents to handle the case according to the law./.
