On the morning of November 9, the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the Science and Technology Award for young lecturers and students in higher education institutions in 2024 took place at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc - Deputy Minister of Education and Training - said that the 2024 scientific research activities of young lecturers and students have achieved many remarkable results.

Specifically, the quality and reputation of the projects are very high, significantly increasing compared to previous years. This demonstrates the efforts and creativity of young scientists.

In addition, this year there are new studies in the field of artificial intelligence and the number of international publications has increased. In particular, the presentation of English in research is better than in previous years.

The topics are divided into six fields: natural sciences, engineering and technology; medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences; agricultural sciences; social sciences and humanities.

Of which, there are 47 research projects, nearly 100 scientific publications and transfers of young lecturers from 29 universities, and 536 topics of students from 95 universities.

Many student topics have been supported by investors and created conditions to cooperate with startups.

In addition, many topics have had research results published in prestigious domestic and international scientific journals.

The award has established 11 objective evaluation councils, giving many comments. For the scientific works of young lecturers, the organizing committee has selected: 7 First prizes, 10 Second prizes, 10 Third prizes, 18 Encouragement prizes.

Of the 106 student scientific topics that entered the final round, the organizing committee selected 18 first prizes and 85 second prizes.

The Science and Technology Award for young lecturers and students has become a festival for young lecturers and students, contributing to encouraging and improving the quality of scientific research.

Motivate them to continue their efforts in the journey of research and creative development, providing high-quality human resources for the country. The Ministry of Education and Training will continue to support and create favorable conditions for these activities to develop more strongly in the future.

The ceremony was jointly organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technical Innovation - VIFOTEC.
