On November 29, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 228/VP-PCTT, to direct proactive measures to respond and minimize damage caused by heavy rains, risks of floods, inundation, flash floods, and landslides.

Accordingly, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of districts, cities, towns and relevant agencies and units need to closely monitor forecasts and warnings of heavy rain, floods, flash floods, and landslides; thereby providing timely and complete information to authorities at all levels and people to proactively prevent, respond, and minimize damage.

At the same time, deploy shock troops to inspect and review residential areas along rivers, streams, and low-lying areas to proactively organize the relocation and evacuation of people in areas at high risk of deep flooding, flash floods, and landslides.

Check and review the operating plan to ensure the safety of reservoirs and downstream areas; arrange a permanent force to operate and regulate and be ready to handle possible situations according to regulations.

In particular, prepare forces and means for rescue when required; Organize serious on-duty shifts and regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense.
