Implementing the entire working program, from October 2-8, 2023, the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee took place in Hanoi. After 7 working days, the conference completed the proposed program. The Party Central Committee members demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, promoted democracy and intelligence, discussed frankly, and contributed many important opinions to the submissions, reports, and projects.

The Politburo met and discussed to receive the opinions of the Central Executive Committee and explain the issues with different opinions. The Central Executive Committee highly agreed on the content of the opinions received and explained by the Politburo, approved the basic contents of the documents of the Central Conference, in which it agreed to issue: Resolution on continuing to innovate and improve the quality of social policies, meeting the requirements of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period; Resolution on continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy; Resolution on "strategy for defending the Fatherland in the new situation" and Resolution on continuing to build and promote the role of the intellectual team to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period.

During the conference, delegates listened to President Vo Van Thuong deliver a speech on "continuing to promote the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized and happy".

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivered a speech on "continuing to innovate and improve the quality of social policies to meet the requirements of national construction and protection in the new period".

General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense delivered a speech on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation".

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department delivered a speech on "Continuing to build a contingent of intellectuals to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period" and provided guidance on the implementation of Resolution of the 8th Central Conference, 13th tenure.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai - Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission will deliver a concluding speech.

The conference was held to raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, cadres and Party members in effectively implementing the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions of the Resolutions of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
