Attending and presenting support was Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam .
Accordingly, the Governor of the State Bank and the working delegation provided support of 1 billion VND to Da Nang city, 1.5 billion VND to Hue city, and 4 billion VND to Quang Ngai to help eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. At the same time, the State Bank also provided social security support of 2 billion VND to Da Nang city and 1.5 billion VND to Hue city.
The emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" of the banking industry was launched in early 2025. Accordingly, each officer, union member, and employee in the entire banking system will support at least 1 day's salary to join the banking industry in "Joining hands to eliminate 1,000 temporary and dilapidated houses" nationwide.
To date, the State Bank has mobilized VND82 billion, equivalent to the cost of building 1,366 new houses, exceeding the target by 36.6%. This amount has been supported by the State Bank through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front with VND15 billion and directly supported 23 provinces and cities (after administrative boundary merger) with VND67 billion.
In addition to the amount of money donated for the salary of union members and workers, from April 2024 to now, units in the banking industry have also supported 1,733.15 billion VND in funding to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for provinces and cities.

Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong affirmed that the banking sector is always ready to accompany the entire political system in social security work in general and the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in particular with the highest sense of responsibility. This is also a valuable and respected tradition of the banking sector over many years. The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam expressed hope that the amount of money the banking sector supports for the three provinces and cities will contribute to helping localities soon complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and better implement social security work in the area.
Speaking at the reception of the support, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the kindness and noble gesture of the State Bank and pledged to advise the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in the City to manage and use them for the right purposes, effectively, openly, transparently and in accordance with regulations. At the same time, she hoped that the State Bank and the banking system would continue to pay attention to and accompany social security activities in the area.
