TASS quoted Mr. Krasnov as saying that this cooperation is part of the implementation of mutually beneficial agreements previously reached in Moscow, including actions related to the fight against terrorism.

The document also provides steps on protecting the rights of minors, providing legal assistance in criminal cases and introducing digital technology into the work of prosecutors.

According to Mr. Krasnov, the increase in trade between Russia and Cuba as well as the number of joint business projects makes it necessary for the prosecutor's office to strengthen the protection of investment activities.

The Russian Embassy in Cuba said the above program is valid until 2026.

Mr. Krasnov's visit to Cuba follows a tour of Latin American countries in February this year by Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev.

During the visit, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council was personally received by General Raúl Castro and Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel. Mr. Patrushev stated that developing good relations with Latin American and Caribbean countries remains one of Moscow's top priorities.

A week earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was also in Havana as part of a trip to three countries: Cuba, Venezuela and Brazil.
