Learn Artificial Intelligence, English for Free

During many Tet holidays, SkillPixel organization based in Nha Trang city cooperated with Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted ( Khanh Hoa ) to organize a training course for the artificial intelligence (AI) team to participate in the 2025 Central and Central Highlands Informatics Olympiad. The training program specializes in areas such as machine learning, computer vision, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), AI model refinement...

According to the organizers, the teaching staff includes domestic and foreign experts such as Mr. Nguyen Gia Hy, AI lecturer at Swinburne University (Australia); Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Hung, research assistant at the Applied AI Institute (A2I2, Australia); Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phat, AI research assistant at Hanoi National University; and Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu, AI research assistant at Ho Chi Minh City National University.

According to the organizers, the above training course is completely free and open to all subjects, not only limited to those who plan to take the excellent student exam. In particular, during the Tet holidays, there will be a class introducing computer vision (January 30, the second day of Tet), and an introduction to NLP (February 1, the fourth day of Tet). The classes will be broadcast live on the organization's Facebook page.

Free courses on artificial intelligence open during Tet

On this occasion, learners can also register to learn English and improve their professional skills through courses provided by the Online Professional English Network (OPEN) Program and sponsored by the US Department of State . These are all free courses, ranging from self-study to instructor-led with flexible training durations from 5-12 weeks. Upon completion, learners can also receive a certificate from the US Embassy in Vietnam.

According to the organizers, currently available courses are English for career development; English for journalism, English for business and startups; English for STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), English for tourism professionals; and many courses for English teachers such as how to create and deploy online courses; teaching English to large classes; teaching academic writing in English...

In addition, learners can also take some cheap or even free courses on platforms such as Coursera (on topics such as business, science, programming, languages, etc.), edX (computer science, engineering, marketing, etc.), Skillshare (creativity, technology, business, etc.), Udacity (AI, machine learning, data analysis, etc.) and Academic Earth (lectures by foreign lecturers).

Opportunity to win government scholarships

On February 1, the New Zealand government began accepting applications for the full postgraduate scholarship (Manaaki) from Vietnamese people. On this occasion, Education New Zealand (ENZ) and the University of Auckland (New Zealand) held an online information sharing session to guide candidates to win scholarships to New Zealand's No. 1 University at 10 a.m. the same day. According to the organizers, despite taking place during the Tet holiday, the event had hundreds of people registered to attend.

Vietnamese students explore opportunities to study in New Zealand

On the same day, February 1, the Australian government also officially accepted applications for full master's scholarships (AAS) from Vietnam. Previously, the full postgraduate scholarship from the US government (Fulbright) also opened applications, with the deadline being April 1, similar to the AAS scholarship. If you want to go to the UK, you can refer to many scholarship programs from this country's government such as GREAT, Women in STEM.

With the scholarship application deadline usually ending in April and May, the Tet holiday is a good opportunity for candidates to research, prepare and complete their application documents for the opportunity to study completely free of charge in countries with the world's leading university education systems.
