On the morning of January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), Mong Cai City (Quang Ninh Province) organized a welcoming ceremony for the first tourists of the new year entering the country through Mong Cai International Border Gate.

In the morning, Mong Cai City welcomed a group of 350 tourists to complete entry procedures into Vietnam through Mong Cai International Border Gate.

It is expected that on the first day of the new year of At Ty 2025, Mong Cai International Border Gate will have about 12,186 tourists entering through Mong Cai City to visit some locations in Quang Ninh Province and Vietnam. This promises to be a favorable opening signal for Mong Cai tourism industry to continue to flourish and make a breakthrough in 2025.

Border authorities of both countries work throughout Tet to serve the entry and exit needs of people and tourists. All procedures are carried out by authorities in accordance with the process, with specific instructions, creating conditions for tourists to enter the country quickly.

With great efforts, in 2024, Mong Cai City welcomed more than 4 million tourists, the highest ever, continuing to affirm Mong Cai as a green, smart, friendly and safe tourist city, an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
