The fatigue after the hundreds of kilometers of march from Hanoi to the Northwestern border of the Fatherland seemed to disappear thanks to the warm and enthusiastic welcome of the officers and soldiers of Pha Long Border Post.

We learned that Pha Long Border Guard Station (formerly Pha Long People's Armed Police Station) was established on May 19, 1959. After 66 years of construction, fighting and growing, the collective of officers and soldiers of the station always promoted the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, excellently completed the task of protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security and was trusted and loved by the people.

The delegation took a souvenir photo at Pha Long Border Guard Station.

Following the Border Guard soldiers to offer incense at the memorial site for heroic martyrs built in the solemn grounds next to the station, we could not contain our emotions when hearing about the heroic sacrifices to protect the borders of the Fatherland. "We have run out of ammunition. Farewell, comrades" - the content of the last telegram they sent to the command headquarters at 11:00 on February 19, 1979, while fighting to protect the northern border and then sacrificed, is an epic song that will forever haunt those who remain.

The changes of Pha Long land today have proven that the blood and bones of martyrs were not shed in vain. Over the years, officers and soldiers of Pha Long Border Guard Station have eaten, lived and worked with the people, coordinated with the Party Committee and local authorities to propagate and mobilize people to study and implement the Party's policies and the State's laws... Thanks to the support of the masses, the station has been provided with hundreds of important sources of information, serving well the professional work, fighting against crime, breaking special cases, contributing to firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the national border.

Mr. Duong Manh Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Prosecution and Investigation of Economic Corruption, Supreme People's Procuracy expressed his admiration when learning about the life and fighting of officers and soldiers of Pha Long Border Guard Station. "The conversation with them gave us deep feelings about the bravery and determination of officers and soldiers of the Border Guard at the northernmost point of the Fatherland," Mr. Hoang shared.

Through the introduction of Lieutenant Colonel Truong Hong Phong, Chief of Pha Long Border Guard Station, we learned that in recent years, promoting the tradition of a heroic unit, Pha Long Border Guard Station has always persistently built and consolidated a strong "people's heart position" at the border through the implementation of meaningful models and activities such as: Giving breeding cows to the poor, "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of the Border Guard Station", "Shelter for the poor at the border", "Spring on the border warms the hearts of the villagers"... At the same time, the unit regularly coordinates effectively with the border protection force of neighboring countries to build a peaceful and friendly border; actively advises the Party Committees and authorities of the two border communes of Pha Long and Ta Ngai Cho (in Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province) to build a strong political system.

A small gift to the Border soldiers at the Fatherland's border.

With deep gratitude, the delegation of cadres and students of the National Defense and Security Knowledge Training Class 2, Course 131 presented the soldiers of Uncle Ho's Army on duty here with a welfare project worth 50 million VND.
