The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on April 21, the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will have severe heat, some places will be especially severe with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 36 - 39 degrees Celsius, some places over 39 degrees Celsius such as Tuong Duong (Nghe An) 40.2 degrees Celsius, Huong Son (Ha Tinh) 39.3 degrees Celsius, Huong Khe (Ha Tinh) 39.7 degrees Celsius Ba To (Quang Ngai) 40 degrees Celsius.

Son La, Hoa Binh, Central Highlands and Southern regions have hot weather, some places have severe heat with the highest temperature from 35 - 36 degrees Celsius, some places have over 37 degrees Celsius such as Yen Chau (Son La) 37.3 degrees Celsius, Mai Chau (Hoa Binh) 38.2 degrees Celsius, Ayunpa (Gia Lai) 37.4 degrees Celsius.

It is forecasted that on April 22, the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will have severe heat, some places will be especially severe with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 36 - 39 degrees Celsius, some places will be over 39 degrees Celsius. The Northwest, Central Highlands and the South will have heat, some places will be extremely hot with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, some places will be over 37 degrees Celsius.

On April 23, the Northwestern region, from Nghe An to Phu Yen, the Central Highlands and the South, will experience hot weather, with some places experiencing severe heat with the highest temperature ranging from 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, with some places experiencing over 37 degrees Celsius; the region from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai will experience hot weather and severe heat with the highest temperature ranging from 36 - 38 degrees Celsius, with some places experiencing over 38 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Agency forecasts that from April 25, the North will continue to experience widespread heat; in particular, the Northwest region will experience hot and extremely hot weather, with some areas experiencing particularly hot weather. From Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, there is a possibility of hot and extremely hot weather, with some areas experiencing particularly hot weather.

During this widespread heat wave, the highest temperature in the Central provinces is commonly between 39 and 42 degrees Celsius. In some provinces, the temperature can even reach 43 degrees Celsius, breaking the record for the highest temperature in Vietnam since the beginning of 2024 (42.2 degrees Celsius in Yen Chau, Son La) such as Ha Tinh, Hue (April 30 and May 1). Meanwhile, in Hanoi, on April 30 - May 1, the highest temperature is commonly between 37 and 38 degrees Celsius.
