Microsoft's AI-powered virtual assistant Copilot may no longer be a Windows 11 exclusive.

Currently, Copilot is exclusively equipped by Microsoft for Windows 11 users. However, it is likely that the company will bring this AI-integrated virtual assistant to Windows 10 users next year.

According to technology site Windows Central, citing a source close to Microsoft, the company has many reasons to bring virtual assistant Copilot to Windows 10. One of the most important reasons is the large number of Windows 10 users at the present time.

Although Windows 10 will be officially "killed" by Microsoft on October 14, 2025 and the company is also looking for ways to attract users to switch to Windows 11 operating system, up to now, there are still more than 1 billion people using Windows 10, while the number of Windows 11 users is only at 400 million.

Therefore, bringing Copilot to Windows 10 is considered a solution for Microsoft to have a large number of users, helping to train and improve the intelligence of this virtual assistant.

Windows Central also added that the way Copilot works and uses Windows 10 will be similar to Windows 11, which means that if Windows 10 users upgrade to Windows 11, they will not need to retrain this virtual assistant from scratch.
