The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front was held in the context of Vietnam's increasingly high position and prestige in the international arena. The Congress set out three main goals: national unity, democracy and innovation, aiming to build Vietnam into a new stage of development. In particular, the Congress documents also emphasized the important role of the overseas Vietnamese community, with specific orientations to effectively promote this resource, contributing to the overall development of the country. These are the opinions shared by Ms. Phan Bich Thien, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe, on the occasion of attending the 10th Congress of the Fatherland Front - term 2024-2029 taking place from October 16-18. The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front took place at a very significant time for the destiny of the country and the nation. Currently, Vietnam has a very important position and prestige in the international arena, under the leadership of the Party, the State and General Secretary and President To Lam. A series of major countries have recognized Vietnam as a very important partner. This opens up opportunities for Vietnam to enter a new stage, a new era, a new milestone of development.

And the Fatherland Front is the place where the solidarity and potential of the entire nation can be gathered, both domestically and internationally. This Fatherland Front Congress, with the criteria of "unity, democracy, innovation and development", are very close goals. Because solidarity is the strength of the Vietnamese people. Second is democracy. And in the present era, innovation is extremely necessary for all countries in the world. Especially for us, without innovation, we cannot develop. That is why the slogan of this Fatherland Front Congress has included all the goals and foundations for the Vietnamese people to work together to build the country into a new era, an "era of rising up" of the Vietnamese people to the world. We now step out into the world and affirm our position even higher in the international arena.

Dr. Phan Bich Thien said: "Attending this National Fatherland Front Congress, I am also very happy after studying the documents of the Congress, seeing that the goals and directions for the next 5-year term presented at this Congress are very accurate and practical for the new stage of the country. I also want to contribute ideas on how we can better and more effectively build the great national unity bloc in the Vietnamese community abroad. That is, we must focus on building associations but must expand, must add new forms to be able to spread and attract more Vietnamese people abroad to join hands in building the country. We must encourage new forms of gathering for our people, in addition to traditional forms of associations. In addition, it is necessary to make the most effective use of the advantages of the digital transformation era, to bring the strengths of the digital transformation era into association work as well as people-to-people diplomacy, promoting Vietnam". Ms. Phan Bich Thien hopes to maintain the national solidarity festival in the overseas Vietnamese community, helping overseas Vietnamese better understand the meaning and role of the Fatherland Front, so that they can call on and attract people to increasingly turn towards their homeland and country and contribute their part to their homeland. "It can be said that in the overseas Vietnamese community, never before have overseas Vietnamese been so united in their hearts towards the country as they are now. Overseas Vietnamese are very proud of the achievements that the homeland of Vietnam has achieved in recent years. In addition, they also feel the effective attention of the State, Party, and Government towards overseas Vietnamese through regulations, changes in laws, and protection of the interests of overseas Vietnamese such as the Land Law, the Nationality Law, and Citizen Identification Cards... I am confident that, through this Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will also come up with very specific implementation methods through the members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front who are overseas Vietnamese, to build a great national unity bloc, utilize the strength of overseas Vietnamese more effectively, and bring the contributions of overseas Vietnamese to the homeland and the country to a higher level" - Ms. Phan Bich Thien expressed. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Thien also welcomed the addition of young, dynamic, creative faces who are up-to-date with information technology to join the new term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to bring the Front's work in line with the digital transformation era. That is very necessary for the Fatherland Front to truly be a place that brings together all classes and generations. "I believe that this 10th Congress of the Fatherland Front will bring the Front's work in general and the great national unity movement among overseas Vietnamese to make effective progress," said Dr. Phan Bich Thien.
