In the list of 100 best Asian dishes updated by Taste Atlas on April 20, there are many familiar names from Vietnam.
Appearing at number 27 on the list of the world famous culinary website, beef pho is rated 4.5/5 stars.
Taste Atlas describes this as "a traditional Vietnamese dish with a rich broth simmered from beef bones, beef shank, oxtail with ginger, onions and herbs such as cinnamon, star anise and cloves.
Pho is served hot, in addition to pho noodles there will be different types of beef such as brisket, flank, tendon, beef balls and some herbs sprinkled on top such as onions and coriander.
Meanwhile, at number 37 is the specialty of Quang noodles. According to Taste Atlas, this dish has quite flexible ingredients, often eaten with pork, chicken, shrimp, fish, eggs, etc. In addition, roasted peanuts and rice paper are also combined when eating to enhance the flavor of Quang noodles.
The next Vietnamese dish to appear on the list is the cold meat sandwich. This site praises the sandwich as a "heritage" of Vietnamese cuisine. Accordingly, in each region, Vietnamese sandwiches have different fillings, but the common point is that they are all sandwiched in crispy golden French baguettes.
The cold meat sandwich version stands out thanks to its diverse filling of thinly sliced meats served with pate, cucumber and special sauce.
In addition, a series of dishes made from beef such as Nam Bo beef noodle soup (ranked 50th), shaking beef (52nd) and stewed beef (83rd),... are the next Vietnamese representatives to be honored.
