On June 12, the Central Propaganda Department held a national conference to assess the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/T.Ư dated May 18, 2021 of the 13th Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/T.Ư on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.

The conference was held directly at the Hanoi Party Committee headquarters and online to 4,487 locations nationwide, with more than 20,000 delegates attending.

According to Lai Xuan Mon, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/T.U through thematic activities throughout the term and annually has had an impact on rectifying the working style and manner of cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees; creating clear changes in discipline and administrative discipline, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization.

However, in addition to the achieved results, the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/T.Ư are sometimes and in some places still formal; many urgent and prominent issues in some places have not been paid attention to and handled promptly. In particular, a large number of cadres and party members lack exemplary behavior, leading to degradation in ideology, politics, ethics and lifestyle; shirking responsibility, avoiding responsibility, and even fearing responsibility.

The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department said that in the coming time, it is necessary to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; regularly inspect, urge and tighten discipline; persistently and resolutely fight against corruption and negativity; rectify and eliminate the mindset of retreating, avoiding and shirking responsibility among a number of cadres and party members.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia stated: Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh is a very necessary task, an extremely important, regular and indispensable task for the entire Party and the entire people; first of all, Party organizations, state agencies and cadres and Party members in cultivating, training, dedicating, serving the country and the people.

Therefore, the Head of the Central Propaganda Department believes that it is necessary to continue to thoroughly grasp Conclusion No. 01-KL/T.Ư and the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress, the General Secretary's directive speech at the mid-term Central Conference; in which, seriously and vigorously implement the promotion of Party building and rectification and the political system; resolutely prevent, repel, and strictly handle cadres and Party members who have degraded political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, showing signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation", associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle.
