This year’s festival will kick off in Hanoi from September 26 to 28, held at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi. Next, GBA Oktoberfest will “land” in Da Nang on October 4 at the Furama Resort, before coming to Ho Chi Minh City from October 10 to 12 at the Nikko Saigon Hotel. Tickets to the festival will be widely sold to the public who love to experience the vibrant beer festival atmosphere.
One of the unique highlights of GBA Oktoberfest 2024 is the participation of the O'zapft band from Germany and Austria. The band will bring traditional Oktoberfest melodies, combined with famous pop songs from many eras, creating a joyful and bustling atmosphere. Attendees will not only enjoy authentic German beer but also immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere rich in cultural identity.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Alexander Ziehe, Chairman of GBA, affirmed: "GBA Oktoberfest is not only a major cultural event but also an opportunity for German and Vietnamese businesses and organizations to seek cooperation opportunities in many different fields, especially culture, economy, trade and investment. 2025 will mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam, and cooperation between the two countries is increasingly tightening."
The GBA Oktoberfest has been held annually in Vietnam since 1992, and is now the longest-running Oktoberfest outside of Germany. The event is co-organized by the GBA, the Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam) and the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, under the patronage of the German Embassy in Hanoi and the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
The GBA Oktoberfest is a major annual cultural event held in Vietnam.
In 2023, the festival attracted more than 10,500 attendees and consumed up to 20,000 liters of German beer. This year, the event is expected to attract even more attention from the beer and German culture-loving community in Vietnam, making GBA Oktoberfest a highlight among international cultural events held in Vietnam.
GBA Oktoberfest 2024 promises to be an exciting journey to discover German culture and a space for multi-dimensional exchange and connection between the business community and people of the two countries.
