Lam Dong: Storms break many trees and damage many structures

On the afternoon of August 8, Mr. Trinh Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Gia Nghia Ward, Lam Dong Province confirmed that heavy rain and thunderstorms had just occurred in the area, causing trees to fall and damage many public and private properties.

"The Ward People's Committee is mobilizing forces and organizing cleanup, clearing fallen trees, trimming branches blocking the road, and at the same time, checking and handling dangerous spots to ensure people's safety," Mr. Trinh Anh informed.

Earlier, at around 1:30 p.m. the same day, a heavy rain accompanied by strong winds damaged many structures and blew off the roofs of many houses. Several trees on Huynh Thuc Khang and Ton Duc Thang streets fell and crushed cars of passersby. In addition, the storm also broke many electric poles.

According to a representative of Lam Dong Electricity Company, the Company mobilized human resources, material resources, vehicles and machinery to handle the system of some power poles and power lines that were broken due to the storm. By about 3:30 p.m., many areas that had temporarily lost power had been restored and power was restored.

Currently, there are no casualties. Authorities are calculating the damage after the storm.
