In the first 6 months of the year, the socio-economic development targets of Muong Ang district all met and exceeded the set plan. The district continued to focus on implementing the project on restructuring the agricultural sector in association with building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction. The total food output in the area reached over 8,200 tons; caring for and protecting nearly 2,200 hectares of existing coffee trees, continuing to plant over 500 hectares of new coffee; taking good care of 370 hectares of macadamia trees, 17 hectares of tea, over 500 hectares of fruit trees; forest coverage reached 34%. The total budget revenue in the area reached nearly 17 billion VND.
