On her personal Instagram page, Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 said she had lost her national costume that she would compete in at the semi-final night and was trying to find it.

Miss Universe Vietnam informed that Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen lost her luggage at the hotel. The national costume is kept in a separate area, not in the contestant's room. When the rehearsal was over, they discovered that it was not found. Ky Duyen has informed the contestant's manager and will have a response tomorrow.

Sharing with VietNamNet , designer Nguyen Minh Cong - professional consultant for national costumes at Miss Universe Vietnam said that this outfit, including a Nhat Binh shirt and a butterfly parasol, was neatly packed in a suitcase so it could have been mistaken for the luggage of other representatives.

Nguyen Minh Cong shared that the costume was meticulously handcrafted, with no specific value, but it played a special role in Ky Duyen's appearance in the upcoming competition night. The designer also said that the costume did not require complicated finishing steps, just needed to be worn, but still had to be re-sought to ensure the spirit of the collection.

According to the schedule, the contestants will compete in the semi-final night on November 15 (Mexico time). Initial information shows that the evening gown competition will not be included in the semi-final night according to the new format announced by the Miss Universe Organization (MUO).

However, according to some shares from the rehearsals, after many changes of decision, it seems that MUO has listened to the wishes of the fans.

Miss Universe 2024 contestants could not hide their joy when they learned that the evening gown competition would remain the same in the semi-finals and hoped that there would be no further changes to this decision.
