However, the locality still faces many difficulties and problems that need support and guidance from central ministries and branches to resolve, thereby continuing to promote the achieved results, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and creating momentum for Binh Thuan to rise in the coming time...
In a report sent to the Ministry of Planning and Investment last May, the Provincial People's Committee pointed out a number of shortcomings and obstacles that need to be resolved in the implementation of investment and construction projects. Specifically, regarding: Legal procedures related to land, investment, construction or such as advance payment, acceptance, payment, recovery of advance investment capital and issues related to planning work... In the context of the export market facing difficulties, Binh Thuan also recommended that central ministries and branches consider and increase loan support packages with preferential interest rates for production and business enterprises. Continue to promote cooperation, expand foreign markets as well as promote domestic market development, strengthen internal market connections between enterprises and industry associations in product consumption, sourcing of materials, raw materials, sharing technology, management experience...
Regarding the socio-economic infrastructure system, the locality believes that there are still limitations and lack of synchronization, which affects the production and business activities of enterprises and investment attraction. Therefore, it is recommended that the Government and the Ministry of Planning and Investment continue to pay attention to allocating resources to complete the transport infrastructure of key coastal routes in the province. Such as investing in the southern coastal route connecting Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the northern coastal route connecting Ninh Thuan province to facilitate the connection between Binh Thuan and the Central Highlands, Southeast, and South Central regions. At the same time, effectively exploit the North - South expressway section through the province, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and people's livelihood as well as consolidating the security and defense posture for the Central Highlands and the Central Coast. Including upgrading and expanding National Highway 55 from Km52+640 - Km97+692, National Highway 28 from the North-South expressway interchange to National Highway 1, and DT.711 connecting the expressway with the coastal road.
Recently, the Government delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Transport had a working session in Binh Thuan on the situation of production, business, public investment, infrastructure construction and import-export in the province. Through the report on related content, the locality continued to recommend the delegation to pay attention to removing the above difficulties and obstacles in order to contribute to promoting socio-economic development, successfully implementing socio-economic goals in the coming time.
Regarding some issues related to the treatment of ash and slag at Vinh Tan Thermal Power Center, the province proposed that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment soon issue technical regulations and technical instructions on the treatment and use of ash, slag, and gypsum to restore areas where mineral exploitation has ended in accordance with the provisions of the law on minerals and meet environmental protection requirements as prescribed. Or instructions on the burial of ash, slag, and gypsum in cases where ash, slag, and gypsum cannot be used or recycled according to the direction of the Prime Minister in Directive No. 08 (dated March 26, 2021 of the Prime Minister). And to facilitate and orient the socio-economic development of the province in the following years, especially the key tourism industry to attract more international visitors to the locality, Binh Thuan proposed that the Ministry of Transport consider supplementing the planning of Phan Thiet Airport into an international airport (by 2030)...
