On the morning of June 6, the Working Group of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office inspected and surveyed the communes registered to build advanced and model new rural areas in Gia Vien district in 2023.
The working group of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office and representatives of the Gia Vien District New Rural Area Coordination Office visited Gia Hoa, Gia Tran and Gia Thanh communes, which are the communes registered to meet the advanced New Rural Area and model New Rural Area standards in the first phase of 2023.
Through review, Gia Hoa commune has basically met 19/19 criteria. The commune has 4 villages meeting the standards of model new-style rural residential areas, the remaining 12 villages are striving to meet the standards this year. Gia Hoa commune is preparing documents to build an OCOP product, which is spread-out custard apple.
In Gia Tran commune, there are still 4 criteria that have not been met: health; production organization; income and poor households. Currently, the commune is focusing resources on upgrading infrastructure, making efforts to implement solutions to increase income, reduce the poverty rate for the people and striving to have 3 residential areas meeting the model NTM standards in 2023.
After achieving the advanced NTM standard in 2022, Gia Thanh commune has made efforts to build a model standard for educational criteria in 2023. The commune is focusing resources on building facilities, upgrading the standards of all 3 schools, organizing the construction of smart villages, and expanding high-quality production models to improve people's income and living standards.
Through the inspection, the working group has recognized the efforts of localities in the process of building new rural areas. This is a political task that requires the participation of the entire political system, contributing to increasing the rate of communes meeting advanced new rural standards and the model of the whole district to 50%. This is the premise for Gia Vien to strive to meet the standards of an advanced new rural district by 2024.
To achieve this goal, in 2023, Gia Vien will have 6 communes meeting the NTM standards at all levels, of which the first phase includes Gia Hoa, Gia Tran, and Gia Thanh communes. They need to make efforts to receive opinions from specialized agencies to complete the dossier in June. In July, the provincial appraisal team will conduct inspections and reviews according to regulations.
For local proposals and recommendations, the Working Group of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office receives and submits them to superiors for consideration.
