On the morning of April 8, answering Thanh Nien reporters , Mr. Tran Anh, Secretary of the Hoi An City Party Committee, said that the project that Hoi An City is expected to implement in the coming time has many contents. Among them, there are contents that can be applied immediately as before, but there are also new contents that have to go through many stages, so it is not possible to implement all the contents in the project at once.

Tickets to visit the old town have been sold for a long time. Ticket prices remain the same at the current VND120,000/ticket for international visitors and VND80,000/ticket for domestic visitors. "With the ticket prices to visit world cultural relics like Hoi An, it can be said to be the lowest in the country," said Mr. Anh.

According to Mr. Anh, some contents that have not been implemented before but are included in the project will require meetings with people in the affected area regarding the project as well as business households, travel agencies, etc.

"The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee will discuss the solutions carefully. When there is a high consensus among the people and businesses, then we will agree on what to do. When the plan is finalized, we will hold a press conference to publicize the contents that need to be done so that the public knows in advance, and then we will finalize the implementation time. However, in the near future, it is likely that we will do it sooner, which is to expand the space of the old quarter to Phan Chau Trinh Street," Mr. Anh shared.

The leader of Hoi An City Party Committee said that on May 15, there will be some new contents that cannot be implemented immediately, but we still have to prepare and not stop.

"Hoi An City leaders are always open to listening to all sources of information, including public opinion and especially people's opinions. We will meet with people to get their opinions, and any content that receives high consensus will be implemented. Anything that goes against the wishes and interests of the majority of people must definitely be reconsidered," the Hoi An City Party Secretary affirmed.

The policies proposed by Hoi An are all correct, but to complete the project, it is necessary to have contributions from the people. If the people have high consensus, all plans are easy to implement.

"Any plans that have not yet been agreed upon will be recalculated and implemented step by step according to a suitable roadmap. Particularly, the flow of people and tourists as well as the new ticket sales policy need to be carefully calculated," Mr. Anh affirmed.

As Thanh Nien reported, Hoi An City People's Committee has just issued a plan to strengthen the management of tour guide activities in Hoi An Ancient Town (Hoi An City).

Specifically, from May 15, domestic and international visitors must buy tickets at ticket counters before entering Hoi An Ancient Town. Tickets will remain at the current price of VND120,000/ticket for international visitors and VND80,000/ticket for domestic visitors. Ticket sales are from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily in the summer and until 9 p.m. in the winter.

In addition, there will be two separate entrances on the main roads into the old quarter, one for locals and one for tourists.
