"These activities once again contribute to enhancing mutual understanding, solidarity and international cooperation for peace, friendly cooperation and sustainable development," Mr. Phien emphasized.
Susan Burns, the US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, said the focus of this year’s event is on medical missions. American and Vietnamese doctors and nurses will work together throughout.
U.S. Navy and Air Force engineers will assist in renovating schools and clinics, conduct humanitarian assistance and disaster response training, and conduct aviation medical exchanges. They will also perform concerts and participate in community engagement activities throughout Quang Ngai Province.
