On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944-2023), today, December 14, the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Tri province coordinated with the Trade Union of the Ministry of Planning and Investment and Army Corps 12 (Truong Son Construction Corporation) to organize the inauguration ceremony of the domestic water supply project for border guards and people of Huong Lap commune, Huong Hoa district. Sharing the difficulties in domestic water supply of border guards and people of Huong Lap commune, recently the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Tri province and the Trade Union of the Ministry of Planning and Investment have connected and mobilized resources to build a clean water supply system for domestic use to donate.

After a period of mobilization, Army Corps 12 has sponsored about 5 billion VND to build a domestic water supply system (including 10 water supply points with alum filtration system, water filtration using RO technology) for border guards, soldiers and local people.

After more than a year of construction, the construction unit of Brigade 384 (under Army Corps 12) has basically completed the domestic water supply system at: Huong Lap Border Guard Station, Huong Lap Commune People's Committee headquarters, Huong Lap Kindergarten, Huong Lap Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities and villages in the commune.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Hoang Duc Thang emphasized that the project is a gift full of sharing and gratitude from the Minister of Planning and Investment, the Trade Union of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and Army Corps 12 to the cadres, soldiers and people of Huong Lap commune, a remote, extremely difficult area and also a land rich in heroic revolutionary traditions during the resistance war, overcoming difficulties and rising up in peacetime.

At the same time, it is hoped that this domestic water supply system will improve and enhance the quality of life, ensure social security for the people and contribute to maintaining political security, national border sovereignty and security.

On this occasion, the Trade Union of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Army Corps 12 presented New Year gifts to the People's Committee of Huong Lap Commune, Huong Lap Border Guard Station, Huong Lap Kindergarten, Huong Lap Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities; 30 gifts to households who have contributed to the revolution, prestigious ethnic minority people, and 200 plastic cans to households in the commune.
