On the morning of April 4, the Standing Committee of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee held the 31st (expanded) Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference to review and give opinions on many important contents.

Attending the Conference were Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thi Chien Hoa; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee and representatives of relevant departments, branches and localities in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Party Central Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung emphasized that 2025 is a year of special significance with many important events for the country and the province. To ensure economic growth in 2025 of 8% or more, state budget revenue 10% higher than in 2024, and ensure the successful completion of the set goals and tasks, comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung requested the delegates attending the meeting to uphold the spirit of responsibility, promote democracy, be frank and objective in discussing and giving opinions on the contents and issues raised in the draft documents and reports, and at the same time, discuss and agree on key tasks for the second quarter of 2025 to ensure feasibility, effectiveness and suitability to the practical situation of the locality.

At the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee Nguyen Thuong Hai announced the Secretariat's Decision appointing comrades: Nguyen Thi Thu An - Secretary of the Krong Nang District Party Committee; Nguyen Hai Dong - Secretary of the Krong Buk District Party Committee; Nguyen Van Long - Secretary of the Lak District Party Committee to participate in the Dak Lak Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Delegates spent a lot of time reviewing and commenting on the draft Report on the situation and results of the implementation of tasks in the first quarter and the direction and tasks for the second quarter of 2025. Accordingly, in the first quarter of 2025, the province's socio-economic situation continued to develop; trading of goods and services was vibrant; prices of goods supplied for the Lunar New Year were stable; the economic growth rate in the quarter reached 6.5%, higher than the growth scenario set by the province; the scale of the economy continued to maintain good growth momentum. Compared to the same period, the total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached VND 29,174.8 billion, up 9.93%; State budget revenue in the province is estimated at 3,180 billion VND, an increase of 47%, equal to 40.47% of the central budget estimate and 33.3% of the provincial People's Council's assigned budget estimate.

Provincial leaders congratulated the comrades appointed by the Secretariat to join the Dak Lak Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Investment attraction has improved, with many investors coming to learn about investment in the province. Agricultural, forestry and fishery production continues to develop steadily, prices of agricultural products such as coffee, pepper, rice, and durian continue to remain high, increasing the income of people and businesses, contributing to promoting the province's agricultural development.

In particular, in March 2025, activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the liberation of Dak Lak province and the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 took place, attracting a large number of tourists to the province and promoting the development of service industries. Total tourism revenue in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 95.28% over the same period in 2024, the total number of visitors increased by 81.82%.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha informed about the results of implementing tasks in the first quarter of 2025.

Social security, care for the meritorious, poverty reduction, and the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses continued to receive attention and were promptly implemented. Land, resource, and environmental management and administrative reform were actively implemented. National defense was strengthened, and sovereignty, territory, and border security were maintained.

The work of Party building and political system building continues to receive attention. As of March 24, the entire provincial Party Committee has admitted 353 new party members, bringing the total number of party members to 89,596 comrades.

In addition to the achieved results, the implementation of tasks in the first quarter of 2025 still encountered some limitations; production and business activities of enterprises have not improved much, the number of enterprises temporarily suspending operations continues to increase compared to the same period in 2024; the removal of difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing investment procedures for works and projects is still slow; the grasp of the situation, thoughts and aspirations of the people is sometimes not timely and not thorough; the social criticism work of the Front and socio-political organizations is sometimes limited.
