The training course will be implemented over 14 weeks, spanning the entire summer-autumn rice crop of 2023, corresponding to the growth and development periods of rice plants and the emergence of harmful organisms.
Trainees are instructed by lecturers in theory in class and in practice in the field on techniques of planting, caring for and preventing major pests and diseases on rice plants; and are instructed on the safe and effective use of plant protection chemicals. At the same time, the knowledge they have learned is conveyed in an easy-to-understand and easy-to-apply way so that farmers can absorb and directly apply it to the agricultural production process, helping to improve crop productivity and quality, and minimize the use of plant protection chemicals.

Through the course, technical staff and people will be equipped with knowledge to produce safe and sustainable crops, improve economic efficiency in the cultivation process, and reduce damage caused by pests and diseases. From there, we aim to develop sustainable agriculture based on ecological balance to manage pests on crops and limit the abuse of pesticides in pest control; at the same time, apply the learned knowledge to farming methods, increasing the resilience of crops.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, lecturers and students studied and inspected the course practice location.
