This is one of the activities within the framework of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival in 2024 with the theme "I love Vietnamese Ao Dai". This year's festival takes place from March 7 to March 17, 2024, organized by the Department of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union in coordination with other departments and branches.

This is also the first time the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival has a free Ao Dai showroom for tourists in groups and a zero-dong Ao Dai booth for women members and female workers in the suburbs.

Accordingly, from 9am to 9pm during the 10 days of the festival, the Department of Tourism in coordination with local travel agencies will bring international visitors in groups to experience free ao dai at 92 Nguyen Hue Street.

Here, the organizers will introduce OCOP products in the area, then visitors can wear Ao Dai and check-in on Nguyen Hue walking street, the area where the Tet Giap Thin dragon mascot is located, and Lam Son park.

In addition, the program of giving Ao Dai to women's union members and female workers in suburban areas at zero-dong Ao Dai stores, industrial parks, and worker dormitories will continue until the end of March 2024.

Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that this year's Ao Dai Festival has many highly interactive activities with the community. Visitors will be able to admire many unique Ao Dai collections from 30 leading Ao Dai designers nationwide, along with the participation of 22 artists, celebrities, beauty queens, runners-up... as image ambassadors for the festival.

"The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival is not only a unique cultural tourism product but also an important driving force for the city's economic development, contributing to promoting tourism economic growth and bringing significant revenue to local businesses," said the leader of the Department of Tourism.
