Connecting potentials, promoting tourism development in Thai Nguyen after the merger

Attending the seminar were representatives of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities, representatives of organizations and businesses operating in the tourism sector in the province.

According to the assessment, after the merger, Thai Nguyen province has a favorable geographical location and traffic, possesses rich natural and cultural resources with more than 1,000 historical relics and scenic spots, including many special national relics.

The province is also famous for its typical destinations such as ATK Dinh Hoa, ATK Cho Don, Nui Coc Lake, Ba Be National Park, and the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures. The province is also known as the cradle of Vietnamese tea culture, strongly developing tourism products associated with tea culture, eco-tourism, community, MICE, and discovery.

Comrade Duong Xuan Hung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, delivered the opening speech at the Seminar.

At the seminar, the presentations focused on a number of key issues such as: Opportunities, challenges and strategic orientations for Thai Nguyen tourism development; orientations and solutions for building and developing agricultural products, OCOP, and craft villages associated with rural tourism development; Thai Nguyen tourism after the merger: a new journey - new aspirations...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice President of Thai Nguyen Provincial Tourism Association, Deputy Director of Dung Tan Company Limited, spoke at the Seminar.

To promote the existing potential, the representative of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism suggested that Thai Nguyen province pay attention to investment, early synchronization of digital transformation, connecting subjects, tourist destinations, and localities together. At the same time, pay attention to training human resources for tourism, especially in the highlands, arousing people's pride in culture and ethnicity, thereby introducing and promoting their homeland...
