iPhone 16 will have additional Visual Intelligence feature

Visual Intelligence is a new feature introduced by Apple at the iPhone 16 launch event. Basically, users can hold down Camera Control to activate a special mode in the Camera app.

Similar to Google Lens, the camera on the iPhone 16 can recognize objects in front of the lens, thereby providing information or related actions.

Some of the operations in Visual Intelligence are synthesized by Apple's modeling language. However, to bring more information, Apple is still collaborating with OpenAI and Google.

Visual Intelligence is expected to be available on iPhone 16 later this year and may coincide with the official iOS 18.2 version.

According to the release schedule, iOS 18.2 is the last major update of the year, so it's likely that this is also when Visual Intelligence appears unless Apple delays it until 2025.
