On March 11, in Hanoi, the Department of Information Technology (Ministry of Education and Training), Microsoft Vietnam, Aptech International Programmer Training System and InterEdu launched the Imagine Cup Junior 2024 competition for high school students aged 5-18.

Speaking at the program, Mr. To Hong Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology - Ministry of Education and Training highly appreciated the significance of the Imagine Cup Junior competition in arousing passion for digital technology, especially artificial intelligence related to products and solutions to solve global hot issues such as climate, environment, and enhancing digital capacity for students.

Mr. To Hong Nam emphasized: “This is very consistent with the digital transformation policy of the whole industry, especially teachers can see in the Project "Enhancing the application of information technology and digital transformation in education and training in the period 2022 - 2025, orientation to 2030" approved by the Prime Minister".

This is the third consecutive year that the Imagine Cup Junior 2024 competition has been held in Vietnam. During the competition, participating teams will be able to submit their entries to the Imagine Cup Junior competition deployed globally by Microsoft.

In the past two years, Vietnamese students have excelled over thousands of competing teams from many countries around the world to achieve the achievement of being one of the 10 winning teams of the global Imagine Cup Junior in 2022 and 2023.

In 2024, Imagine Cup Junior 2024 added a new category specifically for students aged 5-12, Tech for Good, with lessons specifically designed for beginners. In addition, in the AI ​​for Good theme for students aged 13-18, the competition organizers also added a lesson on Generative AI.

By participating in the competition, students will be introduced to the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and network security.
