Krong Pac District: 9 more villages have access to preferential credit

The Social Policy Bank (CSXH) of Krong Pac district is expanding the area and capital source to implement the credit program for production and business households in difficult areas from August 8, 2023 according to Decision 17/2023/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, in addition to the three communes of Ea Hiu, Ea Yieng and Vu Bon, Krong Pac district will have 9 more extremely disadvantaged villages of the communes of region I receiving this preferential credit source, including the villages: Hang 1C, Dak Ro Leang 1, Hang 1A (Ea Uy commune); Kplang, Ea Drai, Ea Drai A (Tan Tien commune); Ea Su (Ea Phe commune); Ea Oh and Mbe (Krong Buk commune).

Production and business households can borrow up to 100 million VND, with an interest rate of 9%/year. Borrowers do not have to provide loan guarantees but must meet the following requirements: have a production and business plan confirmed by the Commune People's Committee; are not poor, near-poor or newly escaped poverty households; and do not have outstanding debt at the Social Policy Bank for other policy credit programs.

In order to bring capital to new villages, the Social Policy Bank of Krong Pac district has disseminated to local associations and organizations, guided the self-management boards of villages to propagate and receive registrations from production and business households in need of loans to carry out the steps of reviewing and selecting households to borrow capital according to regulations.

It is known that since 2007, the Krong Pac District Social Policy Bank has implemented a credit program for households doing business in disadvantaged areas according to Decision 31/2007/QD-TTg for communes in Region II and Region III. After the communes in Region II met the new rural standards, they were no longer subject to this program. Since the beginning of 2023, the Bank has disbursed VND 5.3 billion to households doing business in 3 communes in Region III, namely Ea Hiu, Ea Yieng and Vu Bon; collected over VND 2.4 billion of due loans. The total outstanding debt of the program is currently over VND 64 billion.
