Attending the event were Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hang - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) provincial branch; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Head of the District VBSP Representative Board.

In the first 3 months of 2025, the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank of Duong Minh Chau district promptly implemented preferential credit policies for the poor and other policy beneficiaries; at the same time, proactively developed plans and implemented inspections and supervision of policy credit activities at the grassroots level according to the set plan.

Through credit capital, the district's Social Policy Bank has helped more than 700 poor households, near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries to borrow capital. Thereby, it has attracted and created jobs for over 190 workers; created conditions for 79 students with difficult circumstances to borrow capital for studying; and built over 960 clean water supply and rural environmental sanitation works.

By March 31, 2025, the total capital allocated to the district's Social Policy Bank was nearly 470 billion VND, an increase of more than 16 billion VND compared to 2024, completing 77% of the 2025 growth plan.

The district Social Policy Bank has successfully completed a number of plan targets such as: achieving nearly 99% of the outstanding debt plan for 2025; 2/11 commune-level units have no overdue debt. The quality of credit activities, commune transaction activities and the quality of Savings and Loan Group activities are all good.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Head of the District Social Policy Bank Representative Board requested the District Social Policy Bank Representative Board to focus on advising on the effective implementation of directives, conclusions, and plans on improving the effectiveness of social policy credit in the new period; strengthen coordination with associations and unions entrusted at the district level to do a good job of propagating preferential credit policies and guidelines to people and policy beneficiaries; manage loan capital well; continue to implement solutions to improve the quality of commune transaction activities, the quality of savings and loan groups, the quality of entrusted credit, etc.
