More than 402,000 visitors visited and traveled to Da Nang during Tet

DNO - On February 14, the city's Department of Tourism said that the total number of visitors to Da Nang during the 2024 Lunar New Year is estimated at about 402,000, an increase of 37% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors are estimated at nearly 177,000. Total tourism revenue is estimated at about 1,580 billion VND.

Specifically, according to updated information from Da Nang International Airport and airlines, during the 7-day Tet holiday from February 8 to 14 (from the 29th of Tet to the 5th of Tet), the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang is estimated at 777, with an average of 111 flights to Da Nang each day, including 58 domestic flights and 53 international flights.

During the 2024 Lunar New Year, there will be 3 cruise ships arriving at Tien Sa port with a total of 3,400 visitors to visit famous destinations in Da Nang city such as Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum...

In addition, the number of people and tourists participating in Han River cruise experiences is also quite high, estimated at 21,680 (an increase of about 50% over the same period in 2023).

According to the Department of Tourism, on this occasion, tourists are mainly individual guests, accounting for about 60-70%, concentrated on the 2nd to 5th days of Tet. Guests stay at 4-5 star hotels and equivalent along the coast.

The number of tourists traveling on tours during Lunar New Year is higher than that of New Year's Day due to the long holiday. Tourists mainly travel in small groups (family, friends, couples). Domestic tourists are mainly tourists from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring Central provinces such as Quang Nam , Thua Thien Hue, Quang Ngai...

International visitors are mainly from Korea, Taiwan (China), Japan, India, Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore), America, Australia...

Some tourist attractions welcomed a large number of visitors during this time, such as: Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area welcomed more than 82,000 visitors, an increase of 8% over the same period in 2023; Asia Park welcomed nearly 35,000 visitors, an increase of 16% over the same period in 2023; Ngu Hanh Son National Monument welcomed nearly 40,000 visitors, an increase of 31% over the same period in 2023; Son Tra peninsula welcomed more than 70,000 visitors, an increase of 57% over the same period in 2023.

Mikazuki Water Park welcomed nearly 11,000 visitors, an increase of more than 50% over the same period in 2023; Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park welcomed nearly 8,000 visitors, an increase of 44% over the same period in 2023...
