According to the General Statistics Office, in October, nearly 14,200 new enterprises were established nationwide; nearly 8,700 enterprises returned to operation and 5,454 enterprises registered to temporarily suspend business for a period of time.
In contrast, 5,424 enterprises stopped operating pending dissolution procedures and 1,987 enterprises completed dissolution procedures.
In the first 10 months of the year, the whole country had more than 202.3 thousand newly registered enterprises and returned to operation, an increase of 9.1% over the same period in 2023. On average, there were more than 20.2 thousand newly established enterprises and returned to operation per month.
The number of enterprises withdrawing from the market was 173.2 thousand enterprises, an increase of 18.4% over the same period last year. On average, 17.3 thousand enterprises withdrew from the market per month.

In October, investment capital from the State budget was estimated at VND68.4 trillion, up 1.5% over the same period last year. In the first 10 months, investment capital from the State budget was estimated at VND495.9 trillion, equal to 64.3% of the annual plan and up 1.8% over the same period last year.
As of October 31, total foreign investment capital registered in Vietnam, including newly registered capital, adjusted registered capital, and capital contribution and share purchase value of foreign investors, reached 27.26 billion USD, up 1.9% over the same period last year.
Foreign direct investment realized in Vietnam in 10 months is estimated at 19.58 billion USD, up 8.8% over the same period last year.
Vietnam's overseas investment in the first 10 months had 124 projects newly granted investment certificates with a total capital of 429.9 million USD from Vietnam, up 71.2% over the same period last year; 21 projects adjusted capital with an increased capital of 43.2 million USD, down 75.1%. In the first 10 months, Vietnam's total overseas investment (newly granted and adjusted capital) reached 473.1 million USD, up 11.5% over the same period last year.
In October, international visitors to Vietnam increased sharply, reaching 1.42 million, up 27.6% over the same period last year. In the 10 months, international visitors to our country reached more than 14.1 million, up 41.3% over the same period last year.
