The report on the development of the Regulations on Women's Work in the Vietnam People's Army presented by Colonel Phung Thi Phu, Head of the Military Women's Committee at the workshop stated: On June 5, 2018, the Director of the General Department of Politics signed Decision No. 897/QD-CT promulgating the Regulations on Women's Work in the Vietnam People's Army. However, up to now, the process of implementing the content of some specific articles of the Regulations has no longer been consistent with reality.
On the basis of closely following the requirements, functions, and tasks of women's work in the Army in the new situation and the reality of agencies and units, the Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army assigned the Women's Committee of the Army to be the lead agency in coordinating with relevant agencies to draft the Regulations on women's work in the Vietnam People's Army, supplementing and amending them appropriately and effectively.
