Comrade Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics , chaired the workshop. Also attending were scientists, lecturers, propaganda officers of the Hanoi Party Committee, representatives of the Vietnamese Bui community, and relatives of Mr. Bui Bang Doan.

Mr. Bui Bang Doan was born into a family with a tradition of mandarin education in Lien Bat village, Ung Hoa district, Ha Dong province, now part of Hanoi city.

In 1906, when he was only 17 years old, Bui Bang Doan passed the Bachelor's exam, was admitted to study and graduated as valedictorian of Hau Bo School, an administrative officer training facility, and was successively appointed to positions from district to provincial level in Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh , Lang Son, Cao Bang, Phuc Yen, Ninh Binh... In 1933, he was appointed Minister of Justice, member of the Privy Council, and in 1945, Chief Justice of the Hanoi High Court.

The August Revolution of 1945 was successful, and President Ho Chi Minh, who respected his talent and virtue, invited him to take on important responsibilities: member of the Presidential Advisory Board, member of the Construction Planning Research Committee, Head of the Government's Special Inspectorate, founding member of the National Union, Head of the National Assembly Standing Committee, and Chairman of the Central Committee for Evacuation and Migration.

The presentations of the delegates at the workshop focused on analyzing and explaining the factors influencing the family and hometown of Hanoi on the formation of the personality of the patriotic scholar Bui Bang Doan; at the same time, explaining the milestones in the life, career and great contributions of Mr. Bui Bang Doan to the Vietnamese revolution.
