Reporting on the results of the performance of the agency's functions and tasks; regulations on implementing democracy in the agency's activities; assessment and review by the agency's Head in implementing the work plan of the Government Inspectorate, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy said,   year 2024   Despite the large workload, including many tasks and unexpected inspections, the leaders of the Government Inspectorate have been proactive and flexible in leading, directing and operating the activities of the Inspectorate to ensure timeliness and effectiveness in accordance with the orientation, programs, plans and directions of the Government and the Prime Minister.

The report clearly stated the results achieved in each aspect of inspection, citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement, and corruption and negativity prevention and control, as well as institutional work and industry development.

The implementation of democratic regulations in the agency's activities, working regulations and financial activities has been improved, creating a democratic and open atmosphere in the agency, promoting the role of the unit head in directing and organizing the implementation of political tasks, ensuring solidarity and unanimity within the agency.

Trade Unions, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Veterans Association, and Committee for the Advancement of Women continue to promote their role in exercising collective ownership and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of civil servants, public employees, and workers, and building a friendly and professional working environment in the agency. Organizing many cultural and sports activities creates a joyful, exciting, and united atmosphere, contributing to the completion of the political tasks of the agency and unit.

The implementation of working regulations is of great concern to the leaders of the Government Inspectorate, who regularly disseminate and remind them at meetings; heads of departments, bureaus and units regularly disseminate and inspect the implementation of civil servants, public employees and workers in the unit.

Besides the advantages and achievements, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy also mentioned the shortcomings and limitations that need to be promptly overcome, including subjective and objective causes.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Huong said that the trade union activities and the movement of civil servants and public employees at the Government Inspectorate have closely followed the Resolution of the 20th Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term and the Resolution of the Conference of civil servants, public employees and workers in 2024 and the direction of the Executive Committee and Party Committee of the Government Inspectorate in performing tasks in the fields of work associated with the administrative reform program and other assigned tasks.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union Nguyen Van Dong congratulated the achievements of the Inspection sector in 2024, and highly appreciated the organization of the Conference of Delegates of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in 2024 of the Government Inspectorate, which demonstrated democracy in the unit, with the attention of leaders and union members.

The Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union emphasized that the Government Inspectorate has well implemented the policies of the Party and the State, especially the implementation of democratic regulations. In 2024, the Government Inspectorate held a conference to summarize the whole sector. At the conference, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh highly appreciated and affirmed that the results achieved by the Inspectorate sector are extremely important, contributing to stabilizing the socio-economic situation of the country.

Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union Nguyen Van Dong requested the Trade Union of the Government Inspectorate and its affiliated Trade Unions to continue launching emulation movements to successfully carry out assigned political tasks, contributing to building a clean and strong agency and the entire Inspection sector.

Regarding the direction of tasks in 2025, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union Nguyen Van Dong requested the Government Inspectorate Trade Union to continue to propagate the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee "Some issues of continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently"; well implement the regulations on democracy at the grassroots level... At the same time, he hoped that the leaders of the Government Inspectorate would continue to create conditions for the Trade Union to successfully complete its tasks.

In his speech, Secretary of the Party Committee, Inspector General of the Government Doan Hong Phong, highly appreciated the contributions of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Government Inspectorate, thereby contributing to improving the work results of the Government Inspectorate and contributing to the overall results of the entire Inspectorate sector.

The Inspector General said that in 2024, the inspection work achieved high results with two key factors: speeding up the progress, improving the quality of inspections and overcoming the shortcomings that have been pointed out; The leaders of the Government Inspectorate always pay attention to the work of receiving citizens, focusing on receiving citizens in hot spots and complicated areas; the work of rotating and mobilizing cadres is carried out drastically; the lives of cadres, civil servants and public employees are improved.

Regarding the tasks in 2025, according to the Government Inspector General, the inspection work must be adjusted accordingly, closely following the orientation, overcoming the shortcomings that have been pointed out, doing big things, not going into details. In the work of receiving citizens and handling petitions, it is necessary to focus on resolving cases related to personnel of Party Congresses at all levels. Effectively deploy solutions to prevent corruption; improve the effectiveness of detecting and handling corruption, focus on inspecting sensitive areas, areas with high risk of corruption or with many public opinions about corruption, negativity... ; implement the Project to streamline the apparatus, do a good job of political and ideological work for cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers. The head of the unit must be exemplary, be the nucleus of solidarity, attach importance to the work of inspecting and evaluating cadres, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of cadres to promptly resolve arising problems. Officials, civil servants and public employees need to carry out well the work of transparency, office culture, and strictly comply with the rules and regulations of the agency or unit.

Regarding the opinions of comrade Nguyen Van Dong, General Inspector Doan Hong Phong requested the Government Inspectorate Trade Union to absorb and supplement the directions and tasks for 2025 for effective implementation. The Trade Union coordinates with the Office and relevant agencies and units to pay attention and create conditions to improve the material and spiritual life of civil servants in 2025.

At the Conference, the Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong launched the emulation movement in 2025 to all party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Government Inspectorate and the Inspection sector with the slogan "Solidarity, unity, discipline, responsibility, compliance with the law, flexibility, and efficiency".

On behalf of the People's Inspectorate, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang reported on the results of the 2023-2024 term and the direction and tasks for the 2025-2026 term. Accordingly, during the past term, with the attention of the Government Inspectorate's leaders, the Government Inspectorate's Party Committee and the direct direction of the agency's Trade Union Executive Committee, favorable conditions were created for the People's Inspectorate to operate in accordance with the provisions of law and complete its supervision tasks in all aspects of work; strictly comply with regulations on working style, information regime, and periodic reporting. The opinions and recommendations of the People's Inspectorate were recognized by the leaders of the Government Inspectorate and the agency's Trade Union Executive Committee. The People's Inspectorate has successfully completed all aspects of its work in the 2023-2024 term, with many activities that excellently fulfilled its tasks.

At the conference, the TTCP Trade Union announced the decisions and awarded certificates of merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union to 3 groups and 5 individuals. The TTCP Trade Union awarded certificates of merit in 2024 to 2 groups and 61 individuals.

The conference elected the People's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2026 term with 7 members. Comrade Truong Khanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Anti-Corruption and Negativity, Government Inspectorate was elected as Head of the Committee.
