Here, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City presented a series of reference books, foreign language books... to 11 schools in Ho Chi Minh City, from primary, secondary and high schools such as: Bau Sen Primary School (District 5), Kim Dong Secondary School (District 5); Tran Binh Trong Primary School (District 5), Hong Bang Secondary School (District 5), Duong Van Thi High School (Thu Duc City) and a number of shelters and specialized units.
According to the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City, the books that schools receive are based on the actual needs of each school for reference books, textbooks, foreign language books... that students and teachers of the schools need.
In addition to books, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City also donated school supplies, necessities, computers, etc. to schools and shelters.
"In this book donation, our school received 16 books with a total of 76 books. These are all reference books that the school finds necessary for the learning and teaching process of students and teachers. They were donated according to the school's needs, so the school finds them very meaningful," shared Ms. Thanh Truc - Principal of Duong Minh Thi High School, one of the schools that received books this time.
According to Ms. Truc, after receiving 16 books, the school continued to receive books from this association according to the list they had received.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Thai Van Nam - President of Rotary Yoneyama Vietnam under the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City said: The activities of giving books, giving school supplies, giving necessities, giving scholarships... to students in Vietnam have been carried out by this unit for 10 years now.
"We want to bring the best things to society and to the future of the young generation," Mr. Nam affirmed.
Awarding scholarships to Vietnamese studentsAlso at the ceremony, Mr. Thai Van Nam said that on the evening of April 4, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City also awarded scholarships to a number of poor students who overcame difficulties from 3 universities in Vietnam. These students are also receiving scholarships from the association in the 2024-2025 school year, and will continue to receive scholarships to continue pursuing their dreams. |
