Vietnam Red Cross Society provides emergency support to victims of Khuong Ha mini apartment fire

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society has just decided to provide emergency support to the victims of the fire at the Khuong Ha mini apartment building (Khuong Dinh, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi) with a total amount of 354 million VND.

Specifically, support for 56 deceased victims, each victim 5 million VND and 37 seriously injured people being treated in hospitals, each 2 million VND.

This morning (September 14), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society organized two working delegations led by Vice President Huynh Thi Xuan Lam and Vice President Nguyen Hai Anh, along with leaders of the Hanoi Red Cross Society, to visit and encourage the victims of the fire who are being treated at the following hospitals: Hanoi Medical University, Bach Mai, Saint Paul, Post Office, Dong Da, Military Hospital 103 and Ha Dong General Hospital.

Previously, at around 11:20 p.m. on September 12, a particularly serious fire broke out at a mini apartment building at No. 37, Alley 29/70, Khuong Ha Street, Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi, killing 56 people and injuring 37 others. This is a 9-storey mini apartment building with about 150 residents. Representatives of the Government, Hanoi Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security were present at the scene to direct the handling of the consequences of the fire.

Also today, the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee decided to support the victims who died and went missing due to flash floods in Lao Cai province, each with 5 million VND. The total value of support is 45 million VND.
