Studying and following Uncle Ho, the PCMT Department and the City have organized and strictly implemented Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle and Resolution No. 847-NQ/QUTW, dated December 28, 2021 of the Central Military Commission "On promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, resolutely fighting against individualism in the new situation"; actively innovate, improve the quality and effectiveness of political and ideological education, train mettle, promote the determination of cadres and soldiers; proactively fight and refute wrong views, maintain the Party's ideological position, prevent and combat signs of degradation in ideology, politics, lifestyle ethics, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the Party. The unit focuses on directing the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of professional measures, focusing on promoting the fight against special projects, implementing professional plans, thematic plans, fighting and destroying large-scale, transnational drug crime rings; effectively building and implementing programs to prevent and combat crimes; prevent and combat drugs; prevent and combat human trafficking. At the same time, coordinate with border guards, local authorities and functional forces to organize propaganda campaigns, disseminate and educate the law to the masses in the management area; exchange information, investigate, detect, fight and destroy complicated security and order rings and hotspots in key areas on the province's sea border...

Learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings through specific and practical actions has created positive changes in the PCMT Department and the City, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive agency and unit. The officers and soldiers of the Department are always exemplary in cultivating, training qualities, working capacity, performing tasks, having a strong political stance, ready to receive and complete well all assigned tasks. In professional work, from 2024 to present, the unit has closely coordinated with functional forces to organize a launching ceremony to suppress drug crimes during the peak period; organized 3 media conferences on preventing and combating human trafficking in response to "National Day to Prevent and Combat Human Trafficking" (July 30), attracting 1,873 participants, distributing over 200 leaflets and propaganda posters; Coordinate with Waterway Division 1, Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) and professional departments of the Provincial Police to patrol and control sand mining vehicles at licensed mining locations in the maritime border area; coordinate with the Fisheries Sub-Department (Department of Agriculture and Environment) to verify, investigate and handle violations of regulations on illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU fishing). Doing a good job of coordination and cooperation with sectors and localities, especially with functional forces in the fight against drug crimes, from 2024 to present, units in the Provincial Border Guard have independently arrested and prosecuted 13 cases/13 subjects, seized 4,114 grams of various drugs; coordinated to arrest 6 cases/8 subjects for illegal trading and possession of drugs, seized 15 packages of various drugs. Regarding human trafficking crimes, 1 special project ND-524 was established, 1 case/1 subject was arrested and prosecuted; 1 victim was advised, guided, and supported to return home safely, 2 cases/2 subjects were handled due to personal conflicts, beating and causing injuries leading to death...

The practical work in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style by officers and soldiers of the PCMT and TP forces of the provincial Border Guard has contributed to improving the quality and effectiveness of all aspects of border work, building a solid people's border defense posture. In the coming time, the PCMT and TP Department will continue to promote propaganda, mobilization, and raise awareness among the people in the coastal border area about the consequences and harms of drugs, actively participate in detecting, denouncing and fighting, preventing drug crimes as well as other types of crimes; direct units to grasp the situation of activities of all types of crimes and law violations at sea; proactively deploy forces and professional measures, and coordinate and cooperate with sectors and localities, especially the police and customs forces in the fight against drug crimes, contributing to maintaining peace on the province's sea routes.
