Vietnamese students won 9 gold and silver medals at the Asian Chemistry Olympiad

The 2025 Asian Chemistry Olympiad (AChO) is organized by the Organization of STEM Olympiads (OCSO), an organization engaged in STEM development to create 21st century skills (critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, communication and computational thinking) through competitions, contests and Olympiads.

The 2025 exam recorded the participation of 17 countries around the world including Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Mogolia, Uzbekistan, Romania, Kyrgyztan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Venezuela, Guatemala... There were 105 candidates selected through national rounds to participate in the international round in Bali, Indonesia from January 9 to January 12.

The Vietnamese delegation includes 17 candidates from Thanh Xuan Secondary School, Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School, Giang Vo 2 Secondary School and Le Hong Phong Specialized High School ( Nam Dinh ) participating in the exam at 2 levels for secondary school and high school.

After two extremely stressful exams, the Vietnamese contestants achieved excellent results, bringing home 1 winner, 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 8 bronze medals.

The above results affirm the intelligence of Vietnamese students in international chemistry competitions, contributing to promoting the movement of studying and researching chemistry at high school level.
