The final round of the Da Nang City Innovation and Startup Competition 2024 took place on August 29 as part of a series of typical activities of the Da Nang City Innovation and Startup Festival - SURF 2024.

This year's competition attracted nearly 30 startup projects. Through the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee (OC) selected 10 quality projects for the final round in trending fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, virtual reality technology, automation, etc.

In particular, this year's contest received many projects from students from secondary schools, high schools and university students in Da Nang city.

According to the Organizing Committee, the competition not only selects and develops talents but also honors and creates a breakthrough for innovative start-up projects in Da Nang City now and in the following years.

Over the past years, the Da Nang City government has continuously developed the innovative startup ecosystem; issued many documents, mechanisms, policies, plans and focused on developing infrastructure to serve innovative startups.

Ms. Le Thi Thuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, said that Da Nang City hopes that the teams will continue to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and develop even more in the future. The Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City is committed to continuing to support, accompany and create the most favorable conditions for all startup projects; building Da Nang into a center for startups and innovation with the core being innovative startup projects.

The final round results of the competition will be announced and awards will be presented at the opening session of SURF 2024 tomorrow morning, August 30.
