Coach Polking: 'Vietnamese people always cherish history and I want to welcome big holidays with victory'

Before the 2024/25 National Football Super Cup - THACO Cup, CAHN coach Mano Polking expressed his satisfaction with the team's preparation. Therefore, the whole team is eager to enter tomorrow's match at Thien Truong, where I know there is a great atmosphere, enthusiastic fans and hopefully after the top match, we will bring the cup back to the capital," he declared.

On this occasion, Coach Polking also shared that from the first days of taking over the job of leading CAHN, he was extremely excited because he got to work with very high-level players such as Quang Hai, Doan Van Hau, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Vu Van Thanh...

"I know them and appreciate them through the confrontations at the national team level. When I worked with them, I was very satisfied with their quality, then together we created good memories and successes. I think winning the Super Cup tomorrow will create a new start for our successful season," said the Brazilian coach.

Once again, coach Mano Polking declared that he will bring the Super Cup to the capital.

Recalling the previous visit to Thien Truong, when CAHN won 3-0 in the first leg of LPBank V.League 2024/25, Coach Polking reminded his players that in that match, Nam Dinh Blue Steel showed their champion class and brought many difficulties to his team.

The 49-year-old strategist shared: "They created many dangerous opportunities that I can only describe as lucky, when we did not concede a goal. Tomorrow's match is different, deciding the title in 90 minutes and CAHN has to play under the pressure of tens of thousands of Thien Truong spectators. We have to be extremely careful, play with the highest determination and maintain concentration."

"Before the Super Cup, I also watched many valuable documents about Vietnam as well as the Public Security sector, creating memorable milestones for the country. I also know that Vietnamese people always cherish historical values and through football, I want to bring joy to our fans," added Coach Polking.

Nguyen Quang Hai wants to win to welcome the memorable holiday of the Public Security sector.

As for Quang Hai, he also mentioned that the 2024/25 National Super Cup takes place right on the historic August days, including the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security tradition day. "Although the club's leadership did not put pressure on me, Hai and his teammates are determined to create the best performances and win, welcoming the memorable holiday of the Public Security sector," he declared.

Two years ago, Quang Hai and CAHN missed the opportunity to win the Super Cup for the first time in the club's history. Looking back, he said that the 0-3 defeat to Dong A Thanh Hoa in the 2023 National Super Cup match was an unforgettable memory.
