The remaining four players include goalkeeper Pham Dinh Hai, defender Nguyen Hong Phuc, Ho Van Cuong and striker Nguyen Duc Viet. The two cases of Van Cuong and Duc Viet are quite regrettable as they both have more experience than their teammates.

Bui Alex was born in 2005 in the Czech Republic, his father and mother are Vietnamese. He is 1m78 tall, plays well as a striker and midfielder. Bui Alex has been training with the U22 Vietnam team in Ba Ria-Vung Tau since June 29 but seems to have not integrated with his teammates.

Previously, coach Kim Sang-sik had shortened the list of the Vietnam U22 team from 36 to 28 players. Thus, along with the elimination of 5 more players, the Vietnam U22 team is ready for the race in the Southeast Asian U23 Championship.

The tournament will take place from July 15-29 in Indonesia. The U22 Vietnam team is in Group B with Laos and Cambodia. According to the schedule, U23 Vietnam will face U23 Laos in the opening match on July 19 before playing the second match against U23 Cambodia on July 22. The goal of the U23 Vietnam team is to successfully defend the championship title, while also preparing for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand at the end of the year.
