Gremio will play Vasco da Gama at home at 4:30 a.m. on December 4 (Vietnam time) in the penultimate match of Brazil's Serie A. Suarez joined Gremio in December 2022, signing a two-year contract. The 36-year-old Uruguayan has so far scored 26 goals in 52 matches for the Brazilian team.
Suarez's contract still runs until June 2024, but he has proactively requested to shorten the time until the end of 2023. The veteran striker also intended to leave Gremio since this summer, after Messi moved to Inter Miami. However, Gremio did not agree and offered him to play until the end of the season at the end of 2023, before reconsidering his intention to leave again.
