Contribute to building villages

La Da commune has 4 villages, of which 3 are purely ethnic minority villages with a total population of 1,131 households/4,716 people (the total number of young people from 16 to 30 years old is 1,538, accounting for 32.61% of the total population of the commune). In recent years, through many national projects, the province and district have focused on investing in building infrastructure, transportation, irrigation, electricity, schools, medical stations, granting land for production... helping people settle down, gradually changing production habits, agricultural production has developed better, forming a number of specialized rubber, cashew and fruit tree growing areas, the people's lives are better than before. However, the lives of ethnic minorities in ethnic minority areas still face many difficulties, infrastructure is still lacking, especially the domestic water system.

Faced with the above situation, with the participation of all levels, sectors and localities, in 2013 the Provincial Youth Union organized a twinning relationship between the Provincial Youth Union and La Da commune. Thereby, every year, many activities are implemented to support the youth and people of La Da commune through the movements and activities of the Youth Union and Association. Typically, in the past 10 years (2013 - 2023), the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has coordinated to organize more than 200 propaganda campaigns, popularizing the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies, attracting more than 4,000 union members, youth and people to participate. At the same time, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee directed the La Da Commune Youth Union to deploy and maintain a community digital technology team in the area, provide guidance and support for nearly 1,000 people to install electronic identification and use technology applications.

In addition, implementing support activities to contribute to socio-economic development, improving people's quality of life, and building new rural areas. Every year, the Provincial Youth Union coordinates with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to organize training courses on transferring science and technology in agricultural production for union members and youth of La Da commune, along with 150 career counseling activities and job introductions for more than 2,000 union members and youth. In particular, since establishing a twinning relationship with La Da commune, through annual activities such as "Winter Volunteer - Spring Volunteer", "Tet Full of Joy", "Youth Month", "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign", Full Moon Festival Night... The Provincial Youth Union has connected and mobilized to present more than 5,000 gifts to policy families and households in difficult circumstances; presented more than 3,000 scholarships, gifts, and more than 200 bicycles to poor but studious students; Organized free medical examinations and medicine for more than 1,000 local people and presented 8,000 Mid-Autumn gifts to children in La Da commune. At the same time, mobilized connections to build 2 new charity houses and repair 5 degraded houses for poor households; built and repaired 2 playgrounds for children; built and concretized 2 km of rural roads, cleared more than 5 km of intra-field canals; concretized more than 300 m2 of kindergarten, primary and secondary school yards... In addition, organized cultural and artistic exchange activities, sports associated with building cultural life, preserving and promoting the cultural identity and fine traditions of the nation, eliminating backward customs and superstitions in the locality.

Strengthening solidarity

After 10 years of implementing the agreement between the Provincial Youth Union and La Da commune, the appearance of the villages in La Da commune has changed a lot, and the people's lives have been improved. The dissemination of the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's laws to the people has been effective and practical. In addition, the agreement also raises awareness, responsibility, solidarity, mutual love and affection between cadres, employees of the Provincial Youth Union and the people of La Da commune.

Mr. Thai Thanh Bi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union said that in order to better implement the twinning work between the two units, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to effectively organize the propaganda work of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State directly related to ethnic affairs to a large number of union members, youth and people of La Da commune. In addition, strengthening the Youth Union and Association organizations associated with studying and strongly innovating the content and methods of operation, improving the quality of union branch activities; diversifying the types of youth gathering; paying attention to creating sources for developing new union members and members; introducing outstanding ethnic minority union members to the Party Committee for consideration and admission to the Party. Strongly deploying the revolutionary action movements of the Youth Union and Association with practical and meaningful activities, projects and tasks, meeting the legitimate needs of La Da commune. At the same time, continue to closely coordinate with sectors and unions of La Da commune in implementing activities to promote the application of scientific and technical advances in production, ensuring rights, interests and movements of action among union members, youth and people.
