At the meeting, Dr. Tran Hai Linh - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the VKBIA Association, gave analysis and comments on the potential for cooperation in investment and application of science and technology for green industry in Vietnam; the potential for cooperation between organizations, enterprises and universities, research and development institutes between the two countries for green vehicle industry and supporting industry, deeper cooperation in this field in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region.

Mr. Tran Hai Linh affirmed that he is always ready to continue investing in Ho Chi Minh City with investment funds and financial groups, and is also ready to share experiences in building a regional-class financial center, cooperate and support the development of high-quality human resources; promote tourism development between Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring areas with localities of Korea.
Mr. Seo Guk Hyun, General Director of Innomotive (Korea) said: “The Green Mobility Alliance is an alliance consisting of 17 different units, including government organizations, science parks, businesses, institutes, research centers and universities related to green industry and smart transportation in Korea.
The units in the Alliance currently hold core technologies and extensive production lines. We are always ready to cooperate with Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular."
Mr. Choi Jeon - General Director of Gwangju Green Vehicle Industry Institute (GIGA), emphasized that Korea - ASEAN trade turnover reached an all-time high of 207.5 billion USD.
GIGA and the Korean Green Vehicle Industry Alliance are ready to seek new investment opportunities, bring core technologies and desire to directly produce Green Vehicles and develop supporting industries in Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, so that the two countries can develop strongly in this important field, integrating with the general trend of the world.
At the meeting, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai outlined the city's potentials and advantages in attracting Korean investment, as well as highly appreciated Korea's investment and cooperation in recent times.
Mr. Phan Van Mai emphasized the importance of continuing to attract foreign capital, promote investment, support the development of infrastructure investment projects; high-tech, digital transformation, and support cooperation with Korean localities.
He said the city is very interested in cooperation to develop the green vehicle industry, green industry - one of the important fields in the city's socio-economic development in the coming time.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee proposed that the VKBIA Association and the Green Vehicle Industry Alliance work together to develop the green industry sector, support the connection of investment funds and banking and financial groups to continue to exchange and cooperate, and support the development of high-quality human resources for Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces and regions.

The working results of the meeting will be a good premise for the official visit of the President of the Republic of Korea and the high-ranking delegation of the Korean government and businesses from June 22-24, 2023 at the invitation of Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong, continuing to promote the development of new milestones and new results after Vietnam and the Republic of Korea upgrade their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership at the end of 2022.
Through the working session, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and VKBIA Association agreed that each side would establish a focal point to directly connect, inform, exchange, and work on the discussed contents and continue to promote the exchanged contents to continue to be put into practice and have results.
