Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 duo this summer. Recently, leaked information revealed that the Z Fold7 will be a comprehensive upgrade compared to its predecessor. However, the battery and charging technology of the device remain the same.

It creates an electric field on the display, allowing for precise pen input without the need for a battery. However, this technology adds to the thickness of the device, forcing a trade-off between pen input and thinness.

Industry sources revealed: Samsung Electronics is actively considering applications of digitizer-free pen input technology for the Z Fold7. This will be a strategy to make the foldable phone thinner - a priority in the competitive market of this product.
